Tax Time Donations

This tax time will you consider giving our cats and dogs a second chance for a wonderful life and a forever home? You may not have the ability to provide that forever home yourself, but you can support rescue cats and dogs waiting at the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge by making a donation today.

Each year SCARS provides temporary refuge and finds new homes for approximately 1000 abandoned, abused, stray and unwanted cats and dogs. All of our animals are vet checked, vaccinated, wormed, desexed, microchipped and medically treated if necessary prior to being available for adoptionto the public. We are able to give these beautiful animals a second chance because of caring people like you.

The truth is times are becoming increasingly difficult both in terms of the growing number of animals we are trying to rescue from the Council pound and take in through private surrenders, but also when it comes to raising funds to run SCARS. While we have been lucky enough to receive government grants, SCARS does not receive ongoing government funding.

Financial donations are still the most cost-effective way for us to use your generous contribution to support our cats and dogs.

Every dollar is used to keep the lights on at SCARS and ensure that we can continue our important work of Bringing Pets and People Together…Forever!
