SCARS Dog Plop Jackpot is here!
Thank you to everyone who bought tickets for our first Dog Plop Jackpot! you have helped us raise vital funds to help increase adoptions and reduce the amount of time that cats and dogs wait for loving forever homes.
Congratulations to the winner! at 12.03pm on Sunday 14 September our rescue dog Pat took the winning plop on Square #10 which was held by the Thompson Charitable Foundation.
With all the seriousness that can come with animal rescue, sometimes it’s nice to be a bit silly. So for our SCARS Open Day on Sunday 14 September, we will be running a VERY silly lottery in hopes of raising funds that will SERIOUSLY help our rescue cats and dogs.
Similar to the classic 100 squares game, we will be selling 100 small squares of land in one of our dog yards for $500 each. The first square to be pooped on by one of our rescue dogs during our open day wins the Jackpot prize pool of up to $10,000!!! It’s our DOG PLOP JACKPOT!!
The Prize Pool is drawn from 20% of tickets sold with a maximum jackpot value of $10,000. The more tickets sold the better the jackpot! Remaining proceeds from tickets sales will be used to support rescue cats and dogs of the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge with a priority on increasing adoption rates through awareness and community outreach. The aim of this promotion is to help limit the amount of time rescue cats and dogs spend waiting for adoption into loving homes.
