Sunshine Coast Council

The Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge has been the recipient of many years of invaluable funding support from the Sunshine Coast Council’s Grants Program. SCARS has received support through the Council’s major grants since 2017 to run our Cat and Dog Community desex programs in order to provide pet owners experiencing genuine financial hardship with significantly subsidized vouchers to have their pets desexed at local participating vet clinics. SCARS has also received funding from the Community Partnership Funding Program for many years.

Special thanks to the generous Councillors that have supported SCARS through Councillor discretionary funding for various projects such as our new dog shelter build, landscaping, first aid training and additional desex vouchers.
